About Us

Agape Well-Being situated centrally in East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire is guided by a vision of fostering a compassionate, inclusive, and empowered community. Our core mission centres on creating an environment where individuals and families have access to the tools and resources needed to realise their full potential in physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

We are unwavering in our commitment to providing a diverse range of free support services, educational programs, and community initiatives—all aimed at nurturing holistic health and wellness. Through ongoing collaboration, innovative approaches, and a steadfast dedication to our community’s well-being, we aim to empower everyone to lead balanced, healthy, and fulfilling lives.

Background

Agape Wellbeing was established in 2014 with the aim of delivering a range of services and support for those residing within the East Kilbride area. Over the years, the organisation has continued to grow and expand its service provision across the local area. In the past we had a charity shop called Agape Kidz which sold second hand children’s clothes. In response to community developments the charity shop was closed and renovated to create our sensory hub which opened in 2023.

Activities and services

Our activities and services are regularly reviewed and adapted to ensure they are meeting the present needs of the community. We currently offer activities Monday- Friday. Almost all of our activities are free. To see what activities we offer just now go to our Wellbeing Centre or Sensory hub page.

Funding

Throughout the year we hold several fundraising events such as sponsored walks, race nights and bingo afternoons. We are very thankful for everyone who supports these events. We gratefully receive small donations from individuals as well as grants from a variety of trusts and foundations. If you would like to donate to the charity or support our fundraising go to our donate page.

Charity structure

The charity is led by a board of trustees who volunteer their time to guide the direction of the charity and support the staff. The day to day operations of the charity are led by a small team of paid staff alongside regular volunteers. Find out more about our board of trustees and staff team by visiting our Meet the Team page. The charity could not work without our dedicated volunteers who hold a variety of roles within the charity for example administration, group leaders and support roles. To find out more about volunteering with us go to our Volunteering page.
