Our Values

VISION

We promote positive wellbeing for all.

MAIN OBJECTIVES

Throughout the week, our Wellbeing Centre and Sensory Hub host various activities, groups and events all of which aim to:

  • Reduce Loneliness and Isolation by creating a sense of community for users.
  • Improve Mental Health and Wellbeing by prioritising mental wellness.
  • Support and Empower Low-Income Families by ensuring accessibility for all.
  • Offer Skills Development Opportunities enabling personal growth.
  • Provide an environment where all individuals feel safe, respected, valued and included.

Our approach is centred around the individual, and we continuously seek to improve our services by involving service users with lived experience.

VALUES

  • Respect – We respect and value ALL those we work with, and the contribution that they make.
  • Integrity – We act fairly, ethically and openly in all we do
  • Equality – We firmly believe that all people are of absolutely equal value irrespective of background, colour, race, religion, gender, sexuality, age, skills, qualifications, attitude, postcode, disability, appearance, role etc
  • Excellence – We use our energy, skills and resources to deliver the best possible results for our clients, customers and each other.

PARTNERSHIPS

Agape Wellbeing has many connections and partnerships with statutory, third sector and private organisations across East Kilbride. These connections and partnerships support us to promote the charity and reach people who can benefit from our services. We receive referrals from health visitors, community link workers, early years practitioners and many others. When necessary we refer our service users to more specialised organisations such as Skills Exchange or Citizens Advice.

The charity also works with other local organisations such as The Village Centre to provide services and groups together building our capacity to support more people.

In 2024 we built a new partnership with the Glasgow Coffee Cartel developing our own Agape Wellbeing edition coffee. Click here to find out more.

If you would like to find out more about working in partnership with Agape Wellbeing contact us.

FUTURE DEVELOPMENTS

At Agape Wellbeing we never stand still. We are always looking for new partners and ideas for new groups and services we can provide. We do this by consulting with our current service users and partners as well as finding gaps in the market by community mapping. If you have any ideas of groups or activities that are missing from East Kilbride we would love for you to contact us.
